2008 Aperture Portfolio Prize Competition (Update)

The purpose of the Portfolio Prize is to identify trends in contemporary photography and specific artists whom we can help by bringing their work to a wider audience.

First prize is $2,500.

The first-prize winner and runners-up are featured on Aperture’s website for approximately one year.

Winners are also announced in the foundation’s e-newsletter, which reaches thousands of subscribers in the photography community.

The work of the winner and runners-up for the 2007 prize is also available on their website.

The entry deadline was midnight Friday, July 11. All entrants will be contacted by November 1, 2008. Final decisions will be made by December 1, 2008.

The entry period for the summer 2009 Aperture Portfolio Prize will be posted in early 2009. For specifics on how to enter, please visit www.aperture.org. Good luck!
